The HP ProBook Series are the business style notebooks designed mainly for businessman and students with innovative features, providing powerful and reliable performance with the latest Intel processor in a 14" diagonal HD, LED-backlit display. This is a very new Laptop series from HP. So You may want to have a latest BIOS update for this series notebooks. You can easily update HP BIOS with different methods. But updating HP notebook BIOS is very easy with graphical BIOS updating tools. Just you need to download the latest BIOS from HP driver download site. Then follow the on screen instruction.
 But before you begin there are some perquisites that you must follow. Check your BIOS version number and date from the bios in case you don't know the actual bios revision number.
If you want to update your bios from USB key then you will need a boot enabled usb pendrive. For network update you can use HP system software manager (SSM). But updating with SSM is critical and complex. So you may prefer to go with HPQflash GUI version. Just download the bios/ software pack. Run the file. Follow the screen. At end it will ask 2 method for updating.One is updating bios directly from windows and other one is creating a bootable usb key for update. Go with the first one. It will take some minutes. Don't interrupt the process. Don't do anything on computer. After completing whole process it will automatically restart windows. Just wait for that. After restarting you will have a new updated BIOS on your notebook with many bugs fixed.
This same method will work for other notebooks from HP, Compaq and HP-Compaq.
