in Facebook, Tricks

[Update 30 August 2012: The method mention is this post doesn't work. Use the following link  to remove pending friend requests
http://www.tushroy.com/2012/08/removing-pending-unaccepted-friend-request-on-facebook.html ]

[This method not working anymore. Updated link is above.]

Many of you had added too many friends on facebook and which are not still accepted. And some of you started getting message look like below.

So you may want to remove your pending friend requests. For this you may go to Account>>Edit friends but you didn’t find any unaccepted friends!!

Well few days back it was possible to view pending friend requests on facebook. But after facebook changed its interface it becomes impossible to view pending friends request through a direct interface. On Edit Friends, it was possible to view whom you have added but not yet confirmed or pending. But this list doesn’t show pending friends any more.
So what you do now to remove your unaccepted friend requests? You may try to remember each person’s name whom you sent a request then go to their profile and remove them from there. But what you do if you don’t remember each persons name separately?

Well every time i write my blog I keep in mind to give the possible full proof solution to my visitors. I found two solutions for this problem. The most easiest one is a facebook application name Pending Friend Requests ( http://apps.facebook.com/friendrequests/ ).  Add this application to your account. Allow it. Then go to the application.
It will show up like below. Here you can find all your pending requests.

But remember one thing you may not be able to remove each requests from the buttons [Red boxed] on the application. What you have to do is to right click on the name of the person beside their profile picture and open it in new tab or window.

After that you will see a link to cancel the friend request on that person’s profile that you have opened on the new tab/window.
There is another method to do the same but you have to install firefox GreaseMonkey addons and download a user script for this. [but not available now].
So you think are finished!! Not yet. One problem still remains. When you try to send a request to someone it may still show that message!!!
Well i found a silly hack for this :D. Edit your Basic Information. Just change your gender (really silly :P). If you are male change it to female, if female change it to male, according to the person whom you are sending request to. And don’t forget to hide your gender :P.
Problem fixed :) you will able to send request again. Cheers!!!
Hope these information helps you. :-)

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of any widgets I could add
to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates.
I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this. Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.

Where can I see friend requests I’ve sent?
You can review friend requests you’ve sent by going to your activity log. To do this:
Click your privacy shortcuts in the upper-right corner of the page and select Who can see my stuff?
Click Use Activity Log.
In the left column, click More to expand all your options.
Click Friends.
Your activity log chronologically displays when you sent someone a friend request as well as when you became friends. If someone else sent you a friend request, you’ll only see when you accepted it.
You’ll also see when you unfriend someone in your activity log. People you unfriend won’t see this action in their activity logs.
